NIKISZOWIEC
The former coal miners' district of Nikiszowiec (German: Nikischschacht) is home to some highly unique early 20th-century architecture as well as an excellent Wilson Shaft Gallery, a magnificent St. Anne's Church, and a few additional offbeat attractions, like very good. What is fascinating, the district is still alive, which means not only regular residents, visitors, and trips there but also two big fairs every year – for Christmas (in December) and for St.Anne’s Day (in July). One of the visitors, Philip Zimbardo, was fascinated by this place so much that he became a co-founder of the Youth Center at the Nikiszowiec. Learn more...

GUIDO COAL MINE
Are you ready for the underground adventure? Two excellently preserved mining levels are waiting for you 170 and 320 metres below the surface. You will go there with the authentic elevator (in Silesia called “shola”), the same that is used in active coal mines. The express ride in darkness takes just several dozen of seconds! First of all, you will visit the oldest available regions of Guido Coal Mine, at the 170 level. The guide will tell you about the toil of work from the beginning of the 20th century which was the time of mechanization, technological progress but also the time the strongest cult of St. Barbara in Silesian coal mining. PSZCZYNA CASTLE
The Castle in Pszczyna, in fact a palace, is a former magnate residence located in Pszczyna (German: Pless) in Upper Silesia. It was built on the site of a defensive Gothic castle from the early 15th century, likely replacing an even earlier fortification. The castle underwent significant renovations over the centuries: in the 16th century in the Renaissance style, in the 18th century in the Baroque style, and once again in the 19th century in the French Baroque style of Louis XIII. JURA KRAKOWSKO-CZĘSTOCHOWSKA
A defining feature of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland is its picturesque limestone rock formations. The region is traversed by the Trail of the Eagles' Nests, a network of medieval castles that once defended the borders of the Kingdom of Poland against invasions from Upper Silesia. This area is known for its rich natural diversity, offering hills, valleys, caves, and even deserts. Visitors can explore numerous hiking and cycling trails, climbing routes, and off-road tracks for ATVs. The Jura Mountain Rescue Group (GOPR) ensures the safety of tourists in the region.
